In October, Whitson, Expedition 16 Flight Engineer Yuri Malenchenko and spaceflight participant Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, who is from Malaysia , will launch on a Soyuz spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
