50 tahun

Al-Hamdulillah, Akhirnya sudah juga sambutan 50 tahun kemerdekaan disambut dengan pernuh warna warni. Mungkin disebalik warna warni terselit sedikit rasa patriotik di dalam diri masing-masing. so kenapa aku tengok kt tv ada bendera lain dari jalur gemilang pulak?? parti politik? erm pada pendapat aku, yang memperjuangkan merdeka ini bukan sahaja parti politik, malah semua kaum dan rakyat. SO jangan la carik publisiti murahan!

so di atas adalah logo kemerdekaan ke-50. simple dan memang macam itulah kebiasaannya bagi logo. warna-warna yang digunakan juga adalah warna jalur gemilang merah, putih, biru, kuning.

After having a very slow internet today, i checked at tmnet website. they have 'new' announcement service disruption today.

Gerhana Penuh Bulan dijangka berlaku pada 28 Ogos 2007 jam 3:52 petang hingga jam 9:23 malam. Gerhana tersebut tidak akan dapat disaksikan sepenuhnya dari mana-mana Kawasan Di Malaysia disebabkan semasa gerhana bermula, bulan masih berada di bawah ufuk atau lebih dikenali sebagai "belum terbit".

Walaubagaimanapun kawasan Sabah dianggap bertuah kerana gerhana ini boleh disaksikan bermula jam 6:22 petang iaitu sebaik bulan terbit pada hari tersebut berbanding dengan kawasan Semenaanjung Malaysia yang hanya boleh menyaksikan gerhana tersebut apabila bulan djangka terbit pada jam 7:19 petang.

Pemerhati di Kawasan Sabah dijangka akan menyaksikan bulan terbit dalam keadaan gerhana penuh dan berwarna perang gelap (dark silver). Kemuncak gerhana berlaku pada jam 6:37 petang diikuti dengan fasa Umbra 3 pada jam 7:23 malam dimana pada masa itu bulan akan mula meninggalkan bayangan gelap bumi yang dipanggil sebagai umbra dan mula memasuki bayangan bumi berikutnya yang dipanggil sebagai penumbra. Pemerhati pada masa itu akan menyaksikan fenomena dimana bulan yang tadinya berkeadaan "dark silver" secara perlahan-lahan bertukar menjadi cerah kekuningan ataupun dalam bahasa biasa disebut sebagai "dari keadaan bulan sabit menjadi purnama". Bulan akan meninggalkan sepenuhnya bayangan umbra bumi pada jam 8:24 malam. Pada masa itu bulan akan kelihatan purnama sepenuhnya tetapi masih dalam bayangan penumbra bumi. Walaubagaimanapun bayangan penumbra bumi ini tidaklah mudah disaksikan dengan mata kasar melainkan dengan peralatan khas seperti teleskop yang dilengkapi dengan penapis tertentu. Fasa penumbra (dipanggil Penumbra 4) akan berakhir pada jam 9:23 malam.

Gerhana bulan berlaku apabila bulan dan bumi serta matahari berada dalam keadaan selari (garis lurus) dimana pancaran matahari yang biasanya kelihatan dipermukaan bulan akan dilindungi oleh bumi menyebabkan bulan tidak mendapat sebarang pancaran matahari. Warna "dark silver" semasa gerhana berlaku pula disebabkan atmosfera bumi masih menyerakkan (membiaskan) sedikit cahaya matahari dan semasa cahaya matahari melalui atmosfera ini, ianya akan turut melalui pelbagai jenis pencemaran yang terdapat di atmosfera bumi menyebabkan cahaya yang diserakkan kelihatan berwarna "dark silver".

Okeh table di atas adalah statistik terkini pada 30 Jun 2007 yang di ambil pada http://www.internetworldstats.com/stats3.htm , oleh Nielsen//NetRatings , ITU, official country statistics. Apa yang best pada table ni ialah aku melihat pada negaraku sendiri.

kadar penembusan internet adalah 47.8% tapi yang x bestnya kalah kepada negara Indonesia, kenapa saya kata begitu?? Lihat sahaja pada tahun 2000, jumlah pengguna internet ketika itu adalah 3,700,000 manakala Indonesia 2,000,000 dan data terkini?? Sudah tentu negaraku ini telah kalah dengan hanya penembusan 13,528,200 berbanding negara jiran 20,000,000.

Agak memeranjatkan... tapi itulah kenyataannya... itu belum lagi jika hendak dibandingkan dengan speed yang user dapat serta kadar berapa kali user itu disconnect dari internet...

Rupa Harddisk 1956

51 tahun lalu begitulah rupa harddisk.... masa tu semua peralatan elektronik dan semikonduktor tak lah begitu kecil macam zaman sekarang. malahan semikonduktornya masih memakai tiub vakum, bukan tansistor seperti sekarang. nampak besar kan?? nak tau berapa saiz harddisk tu??

Kawal proses boot

Mungkin ada yang tak tahu bahawa file boot.ini digunakan untuk mengawal multiple Operating System (OS) dalam satu komputer yang sama. Maksudnya, dalam pc ada Windows XP, Windows XP(boleh je kalau nk install bebanyak XP :D) atau Windows Vista atau OS yang lain. Dengan menggunakan NT Boot manager atau biasanya dikenali NT boot loader, pengguna boleh memilih mana satu OS yang hendak di load semasa proses boot berjalan.



Kali ini mari kita menganalisa file boot.ini yang biasa terdapat pada komputer normal.

Kalau ko menggunakan multifunction adapter disk controller macam IDE, EIDE, atau ESDI multi(0) akan digunakan.
multi(0) bermaksud OS terletak pada IDE, EIDE atau ESDI utama, so kalau multi(1) IDE, EIDE atau ESDI yang ke-2.

Kalau pengawal adalah SCSI (Small Computer System Inteface), ko akan nampak scsi seperti di atas.

disk(0) (Lokasi HDD)

Mengenalpasti whick disk, kat node address yang telah dispesifikkan dalan rdisk. disk(0) adalah master dalam IDE controller kalau slave pula disk(1)

rdisk(0) (HDD mana yang nk digunakan)

partition(1) (partition mana)

• partition(1) = C:\

Bagaimana nak tengok boot.ini

ada 2 cara

1. Show hidden files, unhide protected OS files, then tengok pada C:/boot.ini

1. Buka run, msconfig, boot.ini

saya tidak akan bertanggung jawab di atas kerosakan file boot.ini sekiranya anda tersalah edit, terbuang secara sengaja atau tidak sengaja

Contoh lain satu komputer ada 2 OS (Windows XP pada second partition dan Windows ME pada C:\)

Sempena kemerdekaan ke-50 nih, banyak betul iklan-iklan kemerdekaan bermain di kaca televisyen. Tak kurang dari tu, kalau tengok wayang pun ada diselitkan iklan sebelum cerita start.

so harapnya merdekalah kita sehingga hari kiamat dan janganlah hidup merdeka tapi otak masih dijajah dengan fahaman sempit lagi kuno.....

Mencari icon best?

Mencari icon yang nampak best dan cool memang satu perkara yang aku paling benci sekali sebab aku ni jenis cerewet sket.. nak buat sendiri malas.

so apa kata kita try carik kat internet? carik punya carik maka terjumpalah satu site nih boleh kata icon2 dia best dan menarik gak la . http://www.iconfinder.net just type je apa keyword korang dia akan search dalam database dia dan tunjukkan resultnya. contohnye nk carik icon vista, then muncul la kat paparan search dia tu.



Web iconfinder ini masih lagi pada tahap beta, so kira banyak lagi la perubahan akan berlaku sampai la versi final dan nanti banyak lagi la icon2 akan diletakkan dalam databasenye.

Deadlock

Kebuntuan berlaku apabila lebih dari satu sumber kongsi (shared resource) dalam sistem diminta oleh proses berlainan tetapi suatu atau lebih daripada sumber kongsi itu dimilik oleh proses yang tidak dapat melepaskannya

Cara Pencegahan

• Pengecualian Salingan (Mutual Exclusion)
Adalah keadaan di mana sumber kongsi hanya dapat digunakan oleh suatu proses sahaja.


• Pegang dan Tunggu (Hold and Wait)
Pegang dan Tunggu berlaku bila proses dibenarkan memegang satu lebih sumber kongsi semasa ia menunggu kebolehsediaan (availability) sumber kongsi yang lain.


• Penungguan membulat (Circular Waiting)
Berlaku bila proses P1 pegang sumber R1 dan meminta sumber R2, manakala proses P2 pegang sumber R2 dan meminta sumber R1. Masalah ini boleh dilanjutkan kepada lebih daripada dua proses.


• Tiada Pemintasan (No preemption)
Tiada peminatasan bermaksud proses hanya melepaskan sumber kongsi demi kehendaknya, dan bukan secara paksa oleh OS

Kaedah Pengelakan
Pengelakkan berdasarkan strategi ‘keadaan selamat’ (safe state).

Setiap proses mestilah memberi “Tuntutan Maksima” (Maximum claim) kepada OS supaya OS dapat memastikan bahawa sistem sentiasa dapat memenuhi keperluan sumber kongsi setiap proses melalui suatu jujukan peruntukan (allocation sequence) dimana setiap proses dapat diperuntukkan tuntutan maksima secara berturutan.

Pengesanan dan Pemulihan

Pengesanan dan Pemulihan menggunakan analisa graf (graph analysis) untuk menentukan sama ada kebuntuan telah berlaku. Sekiranya kebuntuan berlaku, maka pemulihan akan dilaksanakan supaya pemintasan (preemption) sumber proses berlaku sehingga sistem tidak lagi berada dalam keadaan kebuntuan.

Biasanya pemintasan sumber menyebabkan proses itu dihapuskan.

Pengesanan dan Pemulihan merupakan strategi pengoptimuman tetapi perlaksanaan algoritma pengesanan dan pemulihan memerlukan masa pemprosesan yang berlebihan.

Rap student on youtube make apologizes

KL :A Malaysian Chinese student publicly apologized for posting a racially provocative rap video of the national anthem on YouTube that enraged ethnic Malays, reports said Wednesday (August 15th).

Wee Meng Chee, 24, came under fire for mocking the national anthem and highlighting ethnic differences in his rap video posted on the video-sharing Web site last month, which sparked a flood of criticism from Malays, but expressions of support from the ethnic Chinese community.

Antispystorm = adware?

So are you get into trouble with antispystorm that prompt the users to purchase a registered version of the software so that you can remove the reported threats? I will show you how to remove the antispystorm.

HOW TO REMOVE

1. Temporary disable system restore for XP and ME
   
2. Update your antivirus definition
3. Reboot and go to SafeMode on your computer
4. Run full system scan and disinfect/delete infected files

Sharing printer ke network

Dalam tutorial kali ini, saya ingin menunjukkan bagaimana meng'sharing' printer dalam satu pejabat / bahagian /unit /division/ rumah dan sebagainya yang mana komputer tersebut dalam network yang sama. Printer yang hendak di'share' itu perlulah dicucuk pada komputer dan dalam keadaan on/standby.

Setting Komputer yang ada Printer

* Klik Start -> Printers and Faxes
* Klik kanan ke atas pencetak yang dipilih dan tekan “Sharing”

Kalau anda menggunakan Windows XP SP2 anda perlu permitkan printer untuk diakses:-

* Klik Start ->Control Panel dan klik 2 kali Windows Firewall
* Pilih tab “Exception” dan tandakan ke atas pilihan “File and Printer sharing”

Untuk membuat installation pencetak yang telah ‘sharing’

* Klik Start -> Printers & Faxes
* Add a Printer
* Pilih “A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer”
* Pilih pencetak yang dikehendaki daripada senarai komputer yang telah membuat ‘sharing printer’

Anda juga boleh membuat capaian untuk akses pencetak dari komputer lain dengan mengambil maklumat nama komputer atau nombor IP. Setelah itu;

* klik Start -> Run->nama komputer@Ip komputer
* klik 2 kali ke atas pilih pencetak yang telah diberi kebenaran ‘sharing’

KUALA LUMPUR (AFP) - Foreign Minister Syed Hamid Albar said it was unlikely the Malaysian student could be recalled from a Taiwan university, amid outrage from rights groups over the government's threat to lay sedition charges.

"If a Malaysian citizen commits something unlawful under Malaysian law in a foreign land, we cannot recall him or her except to frame charges,"

Windows XP SP3 pre-beta

Salinan Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) telah dihantar secara senyap-senyap kepada beberapa kumpulan kecil oleh Microsoft. Menurut NFO dari WinBeta, SP3 ini dianggap pra-beta kerana ia bernombor 5.1.2600.3180 (xpsp.070718-2058) build.

Sementara itu saiz XP SP3 akan lebih kecil dari 350MB dan WinXP SP3 ini akan mengfixkan lebih 900 problem yang telah dilaporkan sebelum ini dan sesetengah problem windows telah diselesaikan melalui Windows Update.



Walaubagaimanapun, melalui roadmap Microsoft Services Pack, SP3 akan dikeluarkan di seluruh dunia menjelang suku pertama 2008. Kalau nak testing Windows XP Services Pack 3 ni sekarang mungkin boleh cek kat torrent yang versi pre-beta ni la...

He had been talking with Telekom (TM) on the need to improve services and compete with other providers.

"You cannot compete on an infrastructure monopoly. It should be on the services.

The worm spreads by sending messages to all online Yahoo! Instant Messenger contacts. The text of the message will be one of the following:

Indosat ARPU down 7%

Indonesia's second largest telecoms firm by revenues, PT Indosat, says average revenue per mobile phone user (ARPU) at its mobile division Satelindo fell 7% to USD6.52 in the first half of the year, as competition and price cutting undermined its performance. On a more positive note, the company said it was on course to meet its full-year target of 23 million mobile phone users, compared with 16.7 million users at the end of 2006. Satelindo had 20 million users at the enf of June, up 44$, or 3.3 million, year-on-year.

In a separate story, Indosat today announced it has awarded Ericsson a network expansion contract to improve its W-CDMA/HSPA coverage in greater Jakarta. Under the deal, the Swedish vendor will supply core, radio access network and transmission equipment, covering network design, deployment, integration, performance and improvement of Satelindo’s 3G/3.5G networks. The latest announcement is an extension to an earlier contract signed by the two companies in 2006 and will ultimately result in connection speeds of up to 14.4Mbps (downlink) and 1.8Mbps (uplink) by the end of 2007. It is understood that Ericsson will also be upgrading Satelindo’s existing 3G infrastructure to make it IP ready, thus paving the way for Indosat’s migration to an all-IP network.

How to fix a bad sector on hard drive

What is bad sector

A portion of a disk that cannot be used because it is flawed. The operating system identifies any bad sectors on the disk and marks them so they will not be used when you format it. If a sector that already contains data becomes damaged, you will need special software to recover the data.

It’s not unusual for a hard disk to leave the manufacturing process with a damaged sector; however, this does not affect the overall performance of the disk as the damaged space is considered unusable.



How to fix it

On Windows XP, you can start with a "chkdsk /R". (/R: "Locates bad sectors and recovers readable information"). Fire up a command prompt to run that command.

Under Windows 9x, (95, 98 and Me) I believe scandisk has an option to do a surface scan and repair as well.

You can check "SpinRite" available at Gibson Research.

If the problem cannot fix why don`t you buy a new one hard disk :D

StarHub launches HSPA service

31 July 2007- Singaporean mobile operator StarHub today announced plans to launch a high speed packet access (HSPA) service. It also claims to be the first operator in the southeast Asia region to launch high speed uplink packet access (HSUPA) technology.
StarHub's announcement comes two months after rival mobile operator SingTel Mobile rolled out a HSDPA (high speed downlink packet access) network in selected parts of the island-state.
