Pagi Ahad tadi (semalam) aku dan mak pergi ke Bagan Datuk, tujuannya merasai ke sedapan sup soto kat sana. Memang sedap beb. Soto ni jual masa pasar pagi, makan kat situ gak la sebab ada meja. side dish sate pun di sediakan. Minum pulak cendol.

Sedap hingga menjilat jari. sate secucuk 40 sen, soto lak RM2.00. Paling best soto dia sebab cukup rasa dan banyak isi daging dan ketupat dalam sup tu.

KUALA LUMPUR: It looks like any other PDA phone on the market. But the Dallab DX8i is a made-in-Malaysia product and is practically a miniature personal computer.

Dallab Sales and Marketing Sdn Bhd said the quad-band device runs on Microsoft Corp’s Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition operating system.

This allows users to view high-quality videos, play graphics-intensive computer games, aside from running wordprocessor, spreadsheet, and organiser.

Users can also download any of the thousands of Pocket PC applications available on the Internet for use on the DX8i.

Two 'Cun' model hold the latest PDA DX8i phone

At the heart of the device is Intel’s 416MHz XScale processor, which Dallab claims is the fastest in its class.

The DX8i has a largish 2.2 in LCD screen that’s capable of displaying up to 262,000 colours at a resolution of 320 x 240pixels. This results in crisp text and sharp images, said Dallab.

Dallab said the phone has both a numeric keypad and a touch screen interface.

It is priced at RM1,888.

The phone was launched by Energy, Water and Communications Minister Datuk Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik on Friday.

WiMAX services by Mid 2008

Malaysia may roll out WiMax services by the middle of next year, the official Bernama news agency reported Friday, citing Minister of Energy, Water and Communications Lim Keng Yaik.

WiMax refers to Wireless Interoperability for Microwave Access which will allow significant high-speed internet access and file downloads from phones, laptops and mobile devices over greater distances.

In March, the government awarded the Wimax license to four Malaysian companies, namely Bizsurf (M) Sdn Bhd, MIB Comm Sdn Bhd, Redtone-CNX Broadband Sdn Bhd and Asiaspace Dotcom Sdn Bhd.

Lim said he has held discussions with the WiMax license holders twice on the formation of a consortium to share the cost of building transmitter towers.

'I told them not to compete on infrastructure superiority but compete on service branding and cost superiority,' he said.

The cost to build the WiMax facilities could reach up to two billion ringgit, he said.

'If they are building it alone, they may be bankrupt before they start rolling out services,' he told reporters.

'If they agree to form a consortium owned by them to build the infrastructure, then they have to go for tenders and decide on the best vendor to provide seamless connectivity,' he said.

SingTel IPTV goes live

Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) has launched an internet-based television service (IPTV) in an attempt to keep pace with local cable rival StarHub. SingTel is investing USD19.8 million during the current financial year to develop the product, dubbed MioTV, although it declined to provide subscriber targets or divulge the total sum invested on MioTV to date. The new service, launched last Saturday,
offers 33 channels

of TV content. The company hopes to roll out the service to 85% of households in the city-state, equivalent to roughly 4.5 million people. Analysts warn, however, that SingTel’s push into the pay-TV segment could raise costs and cut profits in the short term, although they agree it could generate higher earnings in the long term.

TM demos 100Mbps fibre optic service

Telekom Malaysia (TM) has previewed a fibre-optic-based super fast internet access service which offers download speeds of up to 100Mbps. ‘We are heading for the digital home era where IPTV, VoIP and home surveillance (via the internet) are necessities,’ said TM Malaysia Business CEO Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa. The telco plans to start the first phase rollout of the service in the third quarter of next year. Initially the connection speed will be 10Mbps, but this will increase as the rollout continues. Zamzamzairani said TM would be concentrating on high-rise buildings such as condominiums before moving to other residential areas.

Pada 16 Julai 2007 jam 5.28 petang mengikut Waktu Piawai Malaysia (WPM), umat Islam di negara ini berpeluang untuk menyemak arah qiblat di lokasi masing-masing. Berpandukan kepada analisis data matahari dalam Almanak Falak 2007 oleh Bahagian Penyelidikan Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia, matahari akan berada tepat di atas Kaabah bagi tahun 2007 pada dua waktu tersebut menyebabkan semua bayang objek tegak akan menunjukkan arah qiblat. Mengikut astronomi, keadaan ini berlaku apabila deklinasi matahari adalah bersamaan dengan latitud Kaabah. Salah satu cara yang boleh digunakan adalah mendirikan tiang tegak di suatu kawasan lapang dan hujung bayang yang terhasil menghala ke pangkalnya pada waktu tersebut adalah arah qiblat. Umat Islam disaran memastikan jam yang diguna pakai adalah tepat bagi kesempurnaan semakan.



Kedudukan matahari tepat di atas Kaabah yang menyebabkan bayang objek tegak di seluruh dunia menunjukkan arah Qiblat.

Tips untuk elakkan dirogol dan menjaga maruah diri

Malang bagi masyarakat kita, sejak akhir-akhir ini, nampaknya kejadian penganiayaan terhadap golongan kanak-kanak dan wanita semakin berleluasa dalam negara.

Sehubungan dengan itu, untuk membantu diri anda, keluarga dan masyarakat, maka disenaraikan beberapa tips panduan yang berguna untuk diamalkan seperti berikut:

Terhadap Kanak-kanak

Anak-anak kecil mesti sentiasa di bawah pengawasan ibu-bapa, guru-guru atau penjaga yang dipercayai.

Kanak-kanak juga boleh dirogol oleh penjaga atau keluarga penjaga/pengasuh, oleh itu sentiasa ada rasa 'cemburu' dan berhati-hati.

Galakkan anak-anak untuk bercakap atau bercerita apa yang berlaku sepanjang peninggalan ibu bapa supaya dengan ini dia akan memaklumkan perkara-perkara yang mungkin tidak difahaminya yang berlaku ke atasnya.

Latih anak-anak untuk menjauhi orang yang tidak dikenali, kalau perlu ingatkan setiap hari iaitu semasa meninggalkan anak-anak di rumah atau Tadika/Sekolah.

Ingatkan pada anak-anak anggota tubuh badannya yang tidak patut disentuh oleh sesiapa pun kecuali oleh ibu bapa atau pengasuh semasa mandi atau masa buang air.

Bertindak awal jika telah ada tanda-tanda maruah anak-anak cuba dicerobohi.

Jangan pandang remeh tanda-tanda ini takut nanti kita menyesal.

Seboleh-bolehnya jangan benarkan anak-anak tidur di rumah orang lain kecuali sangat perlu dan keluarga tersebut dikenali sebagai keluarga yang amanah dan berhemah.

Latih anak-anak untuk menjerit minta tolong atau sebut "API-API" jika ada gangguan atau pencerobohan terhadap dirinya.

Kajian mendapati jeritan 'API" lebih diberi perhatian oleh orang ramai dari jeritan minta tolong.

Pastikan kita berdoa dan ajar anak-anak berdoa mohon keselamatan serta perlindungan Tuhan semasa melangkah keluar rumah, contoh: "Bismillahi tawakkaltu 'alAllah".

Ingatkan anak untuk tidak menerima pemberian makanan, gula-gula mahupun air dari orang yang tidak dikenali.

Larang anak keluar dari kawasan rumah, ke padang permainan, ke rumah jiran atau ke kedai tanpa pengawasan.

Keluarga terdekat juga boleh menceroboh maruah anak-anak, jadi ibu-ibu perlu maklumkan pada anak-anak juga tentang perkara tersebut.

Sentiasa berhubung dengan guru-guru, penjaga atau pengasuh tentang isu-isu keselamatan anak-anak.

Cara-cara mencegah kejadian rogol atau serangan seksual terhadap remaja

1. Jangan terima pelawaan orang yang tidak dikenali untuk tunjuk arah atau jalan, suruh orang itu minta pertolongan lelaki dewasa. Jika didesak juga, lari dan jerit minta tolong.

2. Jangan tumpang orang yang tidak dikenali sama ada kereta, motor atau basikal.

3. Jangan percaya dan ikut orang yang mengaku dihantar oleh ibu bapa untuk mengambil kamu balik dari sekolah, meskipun diberitahu ibu-bapa kemalangan dan sebagainya.

4. Jangan terima duit, gula-gula atau snek dari orang yang tidak dikenali, jiran, jaga sekolah, guru atau teman lelaki jika berseorangan sahaja dengan mereka.

5. Berhati-hati apabila dalam perjalanan pergi sekolah, kedai dsb juga bila balik rumah.

6. Jangan jadikan amalan terlalu rapat dengan jiran lelaki sama ada tua atau muda, lebih-lebih lagi pergi bermain dan tidur di rumahnya kecuali dengan pengetahuan ibu-bapa dan tidak bersunyi-sunyi.

7. Jika kamu dihalang semasa sedang berjalan, cuba elakkan orang tersebut, jika masih dihalang, lari kebelakang dan jerit sekuat hati.

8. Balik kerumah segera sama ada dari sekolah atau tugasan diluar, jangan singgah dimana-mana tanpa kebenaran dan elakkan dari terlalu banyak bermain-main.

9. Cuba pastikan bila berjalan atau keluar rumah hendaklah bersama keluarga atau teman-teman dalam kumpulan. Elakkan keluar rumah waktu malam kecuali dengan keluarga terdekat.

10. Elakkan dari bergaul bebas dengan lelaki yang tidak dikenali dan yang bukan mahram, kerana lelaki tersebut mungkin gunakan peluang itu untuk merogol kamu.

11. Cuba elakkan dari berjalan di lorong, taman atau kawasan yang sunyi. Jauhi bangunan yang tersudut.

12. Jangan pergi berubat dengan bomoh dan jangan sekali-kali tinggal seorang diri berubat dengannya. Doktor lelaki juga hanya boleh memeriksa kamu dengan kehadiran pembantu wanita/jururawat.

13. Jangan berpakaian seksi. Sekalipun kamu tidak menjadi mangsa pada masa tersebut,tetapi mungkin orang lain yang lebih lemah akan jadi mangsa rogol lelaki yang ada penyakit hati.

14. Pastikan pintu bilik berkunci dengan baik semasa kamu mandi, menyalin pakaian ataupun berehat atas katil.

15. Jangan bermain dan bergurau dengan kawan lelaki dan membiarkan mereka menyentuh badan kamu.

16. Orang lelaki termasuk bapa, abang atau saudara-mara tidak boleh menyentuh bahagian sulit kamu.

17. Patuhi syari'at Allah, buat yang disuruh, tinggal yang dilarang nescaya kamu selamat.

18. Allah berfirman yang bermaksud ".....Jangan dekati zina". Jangan bergaul bebas atau melakukan perkara yang dilarang agama yang boleh membawa kepada zina dan lebih teruk jika dirogol.

Broadband Malaysia are SLOW!

Some industry observers have lashed out at the quality of broadband services in the country, which they say will undermine the government's bid to transform Malaysia into a global ICT hub.

Teneo Technologies CEO Jeffri Shahul Hamid told ZDNet Asia that broadband service providers still have a lot of room for improvement. The reliability and general broadband speed of broadband services in Malaysia are still "below average" compared to other developing countries, Jeffri said, in an e-mail interview.

A Web site services provider, Teneo Technologies' business is directed impacted by the quality of broadband services, he said. "If the broadband service is not satisfactory, our business will be affected tremendously," he noted. "In our case, there is only a single services provider and we haven't got the option to subscribe to secondary or backup lines."

Jeffri's sentiments affirm the findings of a recent survey, also bemoaning the state of the country's broadband services.

Conducted by economic think-tank Executives Working Together (TEC) Asia and the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER), the study revealed that CEOs in the country were generally unhappy with the state of Malaysia's broadband services. Over 170 CEOs were polled in the First-quarter 2007 TEC-MIER CEO confidence index survey.

Some 70 percent of respondents indicated that broadband Internet access was slow, noting that broadband service providers seemed unable to deliver on the promised access speeds.

In addition, 64 percent of the CEOs said service providers in the country were inefficient, while 56 percent complained about inadequate broadband coverage and 38 percent lamented the costly service.

Raymond Chee, managing director of Emerge Systems said poor broadband services would adversely affect the adoption level of business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce. Emerge Systems is one of Malaysia's largest corporate hosting service providers.

In an e-mail interview, Chee noted that the high cost of bandwidth and "lackadaisical attitude" of the country's main broadband service providers caused Malaysia to lag behind other countries in the region, such as Korea and Singapore. This must be urgently addressed, he added, given the government's ambition to transform Malaysia into an international IT hub.

Chee believes it is only through open competition that Malaysia can improve on its broadband provisions within the shortest period of time.

"The 'sleeping giant' service providers will have to face competition from smaller aggressive local broadband service providers, or foreign players with huge budgets, if Malaysia wants to improve its broadband services," he said.

David Wong, group CEO of SnT Global, agreed: "The majority of areas in Malaysia are still covered by only one ISP (Internet service provider). And not much effort is put in by the ISP [to improve its broadband services]." SnT Global is a business process outsourcing (BPO) services provider.

"If your company is involved in e-commerce, you can invest in the best infrastructure available," Wong said, in an e-mail interview. "But your potential customers might not be able to do business with you because the broadband service at their premises is down."

To ensure there is competition in the market, he suggested that the Malaysian government should open up the "last mile" to other service providers.

"When an industry is monopolized, there's no competition to drive the incumbent telco to achieve excellence," he said. He noted that competition through the emergence of WiMax service providers, for example, would help energize the industry.

"All the ISPs are eyeing the WiMax wireless spectrum for fast deployment of broadband services," Wong said, adding that he was hopeful WiMax services will be rolled out by year-end at an affordable pricing.

Alternative broadband access services such as WiMax and BPL (Broadband over Power Line), have been touted as possible solutions for breaking the monopoly most incumbent telecommunications providers have over last-mile access.

In March this year, Malaysia's telecommunications industry regulator snubbed the country's top telcos such as TM, Maxis and DiGi, when it instead awarded 2.3GHz WiMax licenses to four lower-tier telcos. The licensees have until year-end to roll out their WiMax services to 25 per cent of Malaysia's population in their respective designated areas.

Each licensee is expected to invest between 250 million ringgit (US$72.5 million) and 300 million ringgit (US$87 million) during the first three years of its WiMax deployment.

AMD slashed CPU prices

AMD has just posted their latest CPU pricing list, and has slashed prices across the board for Desktop chips. All Athlon X2's are now priced under $200 US. The Athlon X2 6000+ now costs $178 per unit, down from $241 when purchased in quantities of 1000. Pricing on mobile processors remains unchanged.

These price cuts come just days before Intel is expected to cut prices on their CPU line, and highlight new processors featuring a 1333MHz FSB. Preliminary pricing charts based on a July 22nd drop-date have Intel offering their Q6600 quad-core chip for $266 US, and all Core 2 Duo desktop chips with the exception of the 3.0GHz E6850 priced below $200 US.

Microsoft takedown Windows and Office Validation Assistant

Microsoft's anti-piracy efforts will undertake a major overhauling. The Redmond company plans to take down both the Windows Validation Assistant and the Office Validation Assistant.

However, Microsoft is going to fill in the empty spaces left by the discontinuing of WVA and OVA with Windows Comparison Guide (WCG) and the Office Comparison Guide (OCG). Additionally there is also the Windows Genuine Advantage and Office Genuine Advantage that will survive the anti-piracy cancelled services. Still, this is not the end of the upgrades in store for the Microsoft anti-piracy programs. Feature updates and additions are also planned to be introduced.

"We're finally taking down both the Windows Validation Assistant and the Office Validation Assistant. The WVA was a prototype for WGA; it was the first tool launched that offered a web-based validation that could help find evidence that a copy wasn't genuine that otherwise might be hard for the average person to find (such as bad or leaked product keys, etc.) The good news is that we're replacing the WVA with the Windows Comparison Guide (WCG) and the Office Comparison Guide (OCG). These guides offer much of the same functionality as the WVA did by walking users through a quiz that helps them match the anti-piracy features of the products they have, but without the web-based validation. For that we're pointing people directly to WGA," revealed Alex Kochis, a senior licensing manager on the WGA team.

Umno recruiting team of writers to fight ‘cyber war’

KOTA KINABALU: Umno is set to do battle in cyberspace ahead of the anticipated general election by assembling a team of writers from every state to counter allegations about the party and its leadership on certain websites.

Umno supreme council member Datuk Azalina Othman Said said she had been recently tasked by party president Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to take charge of this “cyber war.”

“This is among our key strategies in preparation for the elections. The other is getting our members to register as voters,” she said yesterday after opening the Kota Kinabalu Umno Youth, Wanita and Puteri meetings.

Azalina, the Youth and Sports Minister, said all state Umno liaison committees would be asked to identify writers willing to assist the party in this cause.

“We need to counter these blatant lies. If we remain quiet, our worry is that some of our members and civil servants will be influenced by all these nonsense,” she added.

Azalina said she was aware that many party members liked visiting certain websites and could end up believing what was posted there.

On the other hand, she said, there was a tendency among opposition party members not to believe any negative report about their leaders.

“We want Umno members to support and defend their leaders. If they are sitting in a coffeeshop and hear others talking badly about the party leaders they should counter those lies immediately,” Azalina added.

In a related development, she said the opposition had resorted to moving their members and supporters to seats they were confident of winning in the coming polls.

A virtualization product that supports the VHD format is required to use this virtual machine. Microsoft Virtual PC or Microsoft Virtual Server are provided for free and can be used with these VHD based virtual machines. Please refer to the Virtual Server 2005 R2 System requirements page here.

In addition to the System Requirements for the virtualization product, you will need additional disk and memory resources for running the virtual machine. This VHD is pre-configured to use approximately 10GB of hard disk space and approximately 1024MB of memory.

Robot Humanoid

PENCIPTAAN robot humanoid kini semakin menghampiri sifat manusia sepenuhnya dan sebuah syarikat Jepun baru-baru ini memperkenalkan robot tahan lasak yang diberi nama HRP-3 Promet Mk-11.

Robot yang dibangunkan oleh syarikat Kawada Industries itu mampu bekerja pada cuaca buruk seperti hujan lebat serta berjalan di atas lantai berpasir.

Mirip kepada robot Imperial Stormtrooper dalam siri filem Star Wars, robot itu berketinggian kira-kira 160 sentimeter dan seberat 68 kilogram iaitu jisim badan yang menyerupai manusia normal.

Keseimbangan badan robot itu juga adalah sebaik manusia kerana ia mampu menghayunkan tangan ketika berjalan.

Menurut Kawada Industries, penciptaan robot itu ditujukan kepada syarikat perusahaan dan kejuruteraan yang memerlukan tenaga kerja di lapangan yang lebih lasak.

Malah, robot itu juga kini sedang dipertingkatkan kemampuannya sehingga mampu bekerja di lokasi pembangunan termasuk sebagai pemandu kenderaan berat.

Bagaimanapun, robot yang berharga kira-kira RM480,000 itu hanya akan siap sepenuhnya pada tahun 2010.

Penciptaan robot HRP-3 Promet Mk-11 ini melengkapkan barisan robot-robot humanoid di Jepun yang sebelum ini pernah memperkenalkan robot yang mampu mengambil alih peranan penyambut tetamu dan penjaga rumah-rumah sakit.

How to Increase download speed of uTorrent

recently I noticed my download speed so slow so I decided to tweak my uTorrent and internet settings.Here`s what I`ve done to my uTorrent 1.71 client:


Firstly, go to Option-> Speed Guide
1.Select your speed at connection type, for example I select xx/1Mbit for my connection.
2.Then CHECKED at Enable encryption then click Use Selected Settings.




Options>Preferences>Connection
1.Under ‘Port used for incomming connections‘ enter any port number. It is best to use a port number above 10000. I use 11050.
2.Randomize port each time µtorrent starts: UNCHECKED, I leave this unchecked because I have a router and I do port fowarding for port above.
3.Enable UPnP port mapping (Windows Xp or later only): CHECKED
4.Enable NAT-PMP port mapping: CHECKED

5.Add µtorrent to Windows Firewall exceptions (Windows XP SP2 or later only): UNCHECKED (do this only if you have windows firewall disabled)
6.Global Maximum upload rate (kb/s): [0: unlimited]: 92 (for 1Mbit connection)


Options>Preferences>BitTorrent
1.Global Maximum Number of Connections: 400 (for 1Mbit connection)This number should not be set too low or the number of connections made to your torrents will be limited. Setting it too high may cause too much bandwidth to be used and can cause slowdowns.
2.Maximum Number of connected peers per torrent: 100 (for 1Mbit connection)If you see that the peers connected to a specific torrent are exactly this number, or very close, increase this number to improve speeds.
3.Number of upload slots per torrent: 3 This depends on how much you want to upload to other users. Do not set too low or it may affect download speeds.
4.Use additional upload slots if upload speed

Options>Preferences>Advanced
1.Firstly u must download TCP/IP patcher using LvlLord’s Event ID 4226 Patcher and TZ Connection Booster | Mirror
2.DO NOT CHANGE THIS OPTION unless you have Windows XP SP2 and have patched tcpip.sys.
3.Change the number to 60
4.net.max_halfopen: 60 , set and apply
